At TSD, we take pride in partnering with our customers, the world's finest warfighters, to deliver high quality operations and maintenance to ensure every minute and dollar spent enhances national defense.Job DescriptionThe Electronics Technician Maintenance I applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician.
Work is checked frequently for accuracy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This job requires the physical capability to lift, maneuver, and carry weighted objects involving individual or team manual lift or hoist in a variety of environments, including shop, warehouse, bay, tower, and flight-lineOperate and maintain all DENRO components and gator radio systemsMonitor/configure systems to include developing new and/or changing TED mapsOperate and maintain data lines (T1 & T3), microwave links, and fiber linesEnsure required reports and documentation are available and properly maintainedMaintain current tower climb certificationComply with TDXi's Quality and Safety Programs and other duties as assignedComply with all Company policies and Quality and Safety Procedures during employmentOther tasks as requiredMinimum Education/Experience Requirements:Requires high school diploma and successful completion of accredited Technical Apprentice Program in Electronics or equivalent military training, or minimum three (3) years' experience at journeyman levelAssociate Degree in Electronics and experience at the Craftsman level highly desirable.IAT II (A+ software/hardware and Security +) Certification requiredApplicants must be able to demonstrate basic and some advanced technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices, interpret circuit diagrams to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents, as well as demonstrate knowledge in the use of test instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltage and frequency meters, and computer control equipment and analyzers.Additional Requirements:US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is requiredApplicants must have a valid state driver's licenseAbility to read, analyze, and apply knowledge of both electrical and mechanical schematicsCompetencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.Ability to speak, read, and write EnglishFunction in the dual capacity of operator-maintainer to safely and realistically operate and maintain fully functional systems, equipment or circuits (such as radar, radio, telecommunication, video) for maximum training and mission effectiveness supporting combat force training.
