Electronic Technician III, LeadJT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.Working as a group/team lead, an Electronic Technician III, Lead specializes in ground-based electronic systems and works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction, and testing.Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:Perform as a team leader with a system, project, or task, providing guidance and training to lower-level techniciansLead effort to diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating conditionOperate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systemsApply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve complex problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipmentTroubleshoot to component levelLead installation, setup, and check-out of major subsystemsPerform complex system measurements/calibrations using test equipment and established procedures, and record test resultsDevelop system briefings and prepare draft technical reports for technical reviewPerform other job-related duties, as requiredRequirements -- Education, Technical, and Work ExperienceAn associate's degree, or higher, from an accredited college; or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory; or a military equivalent; and a minimum of 10 years of hands-on and leadership experience are required for this position.In addition, an Electronic Technician III, Lead employee must possess the following qualifications:Expert-level knowledge of electronicsDemonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, computer systems, and test equipment used to maintain and repair equipmentExperience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devicesExpert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilitiesBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceHealth Savings Accounts/FSA'sDisability InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) Plan Options with Employer MatchTuition ReimbursementOther ResponsibilitiesEach employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the their job.Working ConditionsEmployee will be required to work some shift work, at remote locations, and occasional over-night assignments.Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.

Climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance) are required.
