The duties include:
Applying advanced trades knowledge and techniques in operation, capabilities and limitations of electronic equipment and systems.
Guiding, training, and mentoring shop personnel performing the removal, disassembly, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, repair, installation, and testing of various electronic equipment.
Explaining work requirements, methods, and procedures, instructing on new procedures, and providing advice when problems arise.
Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting the various types of equipment utilized to manufacture and overhaul surface and sub-surface ship components.
Using a variety of technical manuals and specifications to determine requirements and ensure quality control is maintained.
