Electronics MechanicPerforms as journeyman level electronic mechanic. Repairs and maintains electronics including fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, security systems and cameras. Troubleshoots, maintains, completes preventive maintenance, major and minor repairs, etc of secondary electrical equipment systems. Demonstrates an excellent knowledge of electrical field and fully understands the National Electrical Code.

Diagnoses trouble and makes necessary repairs/adjustments down to the component level with minor supervision. Utilizes a broad knowledge of analog and digital electrical theory, electronics, and mechanisms. Performs work efficiently and in accordance with existing codes and directives. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications to a variety of electronic equipment including nurse call, panic alarm, and camera systems.

Interprets a variety of electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, charts, specification, and electrical prints to properly troubleshoot and repair systems. Troubleshoots and repairs systems with minimal down time. Troubleshoots test equipment properly. Installs, tests, adjusts, and modify all types of electronic and electrical equipment.

Analyzes difficulties quickly, replaces or repairs and ensure work is performed efficiently in accordance with existing codes and directives. Works closely with Engineering Project Section to ensure all specifications, Federal, state, and local regulations, VA Regulations, NFPA, NEC, TJC, and OSHA are all met.
