Electronics EngineerThe National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is seeking an Electronics Engineer to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group located in Des Plaines, IL.The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of the FAA's Legacy Infrastructure to Future Technologies (LIFT) Portfolio and the goal of converting National Airspace Connectivity from TDM to IP. The scope includes Telecommunications Infrastructure Replacement, Small Tower Voice Switches, Air to Ground Protocol Converters and NEXCOM Radios.Job Duties Include:Evaluate existing site surveys to develop scope of work for site preparation requirementsConduct site surveys at remote sites for LIFT site preparation requirementsDraft site preparation scope of work for facilities based on site survey reports and facility data Identify LIFT contract CLINs required to complete site preparationDevelop cost estimates for site preparationReview contractor site prep proposals for accuracy and compliance with scope of workGenerate ORM PRP's for site preparation and installation of LIFT equipmentWork with SSC/TSC/AT to implement risk mitigations for LIFT implementationCoordinate and scheduled site preparation activities with SSC/TSC/AT/LIFT personnelOversee site prep and installation work performed by LIFT contractorGenerate periodic status reportsUpdate Corporate Work Plan (CWP) dataUpdate facility drawings (red lines) for draftingBasic Qualifications:Electronics Engineering Degree (B.S.) with a minimum of 4 years' experience.Ability to travel 25%-50%.Ability to obtain a Public Trust Suitability.
