Hardware Engineer OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old program with a long-standing history of mission success and a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Englewood or Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.What does this role look like? The new Hardware Engineer will support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM!Key activities you will accomplish in this role: In this dynamic role you will:Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy's Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program.Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with out customers, as well as senior leadership.Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements.Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending.Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions.Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers.Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure.Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required, less than 25%.To be effective in this role, you will need:Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware3+ years of professional experience for this role.You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined educationHardware development experienceStrong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems.Experience with interconnect designExperience in one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, PspiceExperience leading projects teams and development effortsMust be able to work autonomously and drive items to closureExperience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)Issue Tracking experienceDesired Skills:Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrate test systems, and experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent.Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP)Experience working with RFDemonstrated an ability to lead/coordinate with small diverse teams in development of tech products.Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentationsExperience troubleshooting System level issues.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $ - $ At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
