They will participate in the testing process and implement OEM specific hardware. The Electronic Engineer III will work with manufacturing, PCB designers, and the quality group, as well as software application groups.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and collaborative, with a strong interest in global mobility, cross-border employment matters, and supporting a positive employee experience throughout the assignment life cycle.Job DescriptionSpecific Job Responsibilities:Support the design and development activities of motor control electronics through all stages of the product development life cycle.Participate in designing motor control electronics ranging from low voltage DC products to 120/240Vac line powered products and including 480Vac industrial products. Typical design tasks include writing design specifications, performing design analysis and simulations, capturing circuit schematics, participating in design reviews, guiding the PCB layout process, creating BOMs and assembly drawings, and overseeing prototype, engineering validation, design verification, and agency certification phases of projectsParticipates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.Implement OEM specific Hardware or software feature requirements in the existing and new productsCreate and maintain project documentation – design requirements, BOMs, test procedures, drawings, Software documentation, test reports and manualsWork with manufacturing to introduce designs into production on schedule, including creation of test specifications and collaboration on test equipmentWork with PCB designers to ensure schematic, part library, component placement and trace routing are done correctlyWork with software, mechanical, motor design, and application groups to optimize product designs for low cost and high qualityWork with the quality group to support failure analysis and recommend design and process changes to improve product qualityCustomer And Travel RequirementsCustomers:Interface with potential OEM customers to clarify required specificationsTravel:Support testing and customer support at off-site locations as requiredRequired Qualifications And ExperienceEducation:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.Desirable:Master of Science in Electronic EngineeringQualifications:Experience in power electronics products; inverters, dc-dc converters and switching power suppliesWorking knowledge in the design of conditioning and sensing circuitry for adjustable speed drivesProficient in developing embedded code in C and assemblyExperience working with peripherals and communications protocols such as USB, SPI, I2C, UART, Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, A/D converters and discrete I/OExperience in configuring and developing code for a Real Time Operating SystemExperience working with voltage levels, protection, and component selections up to 480VacFamiliar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, power supplies and other standard EE lab equipmentPossess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for the repair of digital circuits and analog circuits to component levelsExperience in best practices for creating robust and quality software programs.Must be self-motivated, organized, capable of working independently and as a team to solve engineering problems in a logical and efficient mannerDesirable:Experienced in SCR, TRIAC, IGBT and MOSFET technologyWorking knowledge of gate driver circuits for IGBTs, MOSFETs and fly-back power converter topologiesExperience configuring and working with development environments, JTAG and debugging tools.
