Electronics Assembly Technician (PCB Assembly & Soldering)Clayton Services is searching for an Electronics Assembly Technician (PCB Assembly & Soldering) to join a thriving company in Northwest Houston. The Electronics Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, soldering, testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic products and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) while maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards.Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00/hour plus OT Benefits: Excellent benefits available after the successful completion of the temporary period including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) w/ match, PTO, and more.Responsibilities:Assemble electronic and electromechanical products using assembly instructions, drawings, and manufacturing documentationPerform precision SMT and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards and electronic assembliesConduct PCB and PCBA rework, repair, and modification activities as neededRoute, terminate, and solder wiring while maintaining proper strain relief and workmanship standardsInstall mechanical and cosmetic hardware using hand tools, torque drivers, and assembly equipmentApply adhesives, epoxies, and related materials used in electronic manufacturing processesRead and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and bills of materialsPerform electrical continuity checks and inspections throughout the manufacturing processUtilize multimeters and other electronic test equipment to verify product functionality and workmanshipAssist with thermal testing, functional testing, and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) activitiesMaintain accurate production records and update work order documentationDisassemble, modify, repair, and reassemble prototype and production units as requiredMaintain an organized and efficient workstation while following quality and safety proceduresCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve processesIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement within assembly and testing operationsSkills and Abilities:Strong SMT and through-hole soldering skillsAbility to perform fine-detail assembly work using hand tools and precision equipmentExperience working with printed circuit boards (PCBs) and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs)Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and bills of materialsKnowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processesExperience applying adhesives, epoxies, conformal coatings, or similar materials preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to work independently and within a team environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related software platforms preferredEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 2 years of electronics assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing experience preferredIPC-A-610 certification strongly preferredClass 3 soldering experience preferredExperience performing SMT and through-hole rework preferredExperience using multimeters and electronic testing equipment preferredExperience working in industrial, manufacturing, oilfield technology, aerospace, or related environments is a plusElectronics Assembly Technician (PCB Assembly & Soldering) - Immediate need.
