Electronics Assembler IThe Electronics Assembler I is an entry-level production role responsible for performing basic assembly, inspection, and packaging of electronic components and subassemblies. Working under close supervision, this position follows detailed work instructions and established procedures to assemble products accurately, efficiently, and safely.

The role contributes to product quality, productivity, and on-time delivery while developing foundational skills in electronics assembly.Role OverviewThe Electronics Assembler I supports manufacturing operations by completing routine and well-defined assembly tasks in accordance with documented standards and quality requirements.

The role focuses on consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Success is demonstrated through proper execution of assigned tasks, minimal rework, and ongoing development of assembly skills.Key ResponsibilitiesElectronics AssemblyAssemble electronic components, parts, and subassemblies following work instructions, drawings, and bills of materialPerform repetitive assembly tasks using hand tools, fixtures, or basic equipmentPrepare components for assembly, including sorting, kitting, and identificationFollow standardized assembly sequences and proceduresInspection & Quality SupportPerform basic visual inspections to verify correct assembly and workmanshipIdentify and report defects, missing components, or assembly issuesFollow quality standards to ensure products meet specificationsSafety, Cleanliness & ComplianceFollow established safety rules, ESD (electrostatic discharge) practices, and manufacturing proceduresMaintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with 5S or similar standardsUse tools and equipment safely and properlyTeam & Operational SupportWork with supervisors, leads, and team members to meet production goalsCommunicate issues, questions, or concerns related to work assignmentsSupport line balancing, rework, or other production needs as directedLearning & Skill DevelopmentLearn basic electronics assembly techniques, materials, and terminologyBecome familiar with manufacturing documentation and quality requirementsParticipate in training to improve efficiency and skill levelQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredEntry-level position; prior manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus but not requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to follow detailed written and verbal instructionsManual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasksAttention to detail and commitment to qualityBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to work in a team-based production environmentWillingness to learn and accept directionCommitment to safety and workplace standards$20 - $22 per hourEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at NidecNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
