Electronics Assembler

Electronic AssemblerThe Electronic Assembler will be responsible for manufacturing efforts in the areas of circuit card assembly, electro-mechanical assembly and the development and refinement of manufacturing processes, inspection and/or auditing of raw materials components, assemblies, standard parts, system assemblies, end items in-process, and final acceptance of their own work.Responsibilities and tasks include:Performs set up and assembly of electronic assemblies including; wiring, hand soldering, component placement and mechanical assembly as well as rework and repair.Performs in-process and final assembly inspections and audits as required.Makes verbal or written recommendations for product and process improvementsPerform potting/encapsulating, mixing of resins and epoxies.Sprays or applies protective coatings, as required.Applies minimal touch up paint as required using paint pens or similar controlled devices.Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with company guidelines.Verifies documentation for completeness, accuracy and acceptable Certificates of Conformance.Accepts or rejects items inspected/audited and records the results of inspections.Records results of inspections in computer data systems.Typical tools and equipment used include: standard and precision hand tools, electrical hand tools, soldering devices, microscopes, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, gauge blocks, scales, inspection stamps.
