Electronic Technician, Maintenance IAmentum is seeking an Electronic Technician I to join our team at Eielson, AFB, Alaska. This is an entry level position that involves applying technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions. This position works under the technical guidance of a supervisor or higher-level technician, and work product is audited for accuracy.

Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.Duties And Responsibilities:Perform work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices through a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction, and testingOperate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systemsApply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipmentDiagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating conditionManipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displaysTroubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairsIdentify and report corrections/improvements to technical dataIdentify and report product quality/material deficienciesIdentify and report supply discrepanciesConduct inventories and maintain accountability records, including ancillary and support equipmentAssist with inspection requirements and implementing approved configuration changesPerform equipment status reporting, maintenance data collection and job documentationEnsure compliance with Amentum's Quality Control and Safety ProgramsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent1-2 years of experience in electronics maintenance or repair.Basic knowledge of DC and AC electronics, digital logic, solid-state devices and circuitsProficiency in using electronic test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.Must possess a valid driver's license and must meet all requirements for assigned vehiclesMust have the ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to speak, read, and write English. Basic troubleshooting skillsAbility to work indoors, outdoors and travel to remote locationsReside near or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Fairbanks/Eielson Air Force Base, AlaskaMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
