Electronic Tech Support SpecialistJoin the ALMACO service team as our new Electronic Tech Support Specialist.This position is responsible for providing support to customers, external and internal, via phone or other messaging platforms specific to ALMACO specialized research products. The Electronic Support Specialist assists Engineering and Quality Control Departments in the testing of new and modified research equipment to be subject matter expert for the service department. They maintain internal documents, records, and reports to share information departmentally and amass data on ALMACO products in the field.
This person assists with diagnostics and problem solving of high priority or large-scale items and proactively contributes suggestions and ideas for improvements to ALMACO products and processes.Opportunities in this position:Provides support to customers, internal and external, via phone and other messaging platforms specific to ALMACO specialized research products, on call during peak seasons.Tracks subscription-based products and services.Acts as the in-house expert for the Field and Central Service team when electronics or software issues are discovered that require specialized knowledge.An ideal candidate would possess:Effective communication skills - written and verbal.Ability to prioritize, plan and organize.Effective problem assessment and problem solving.Attention to detail and accuracy.Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.Self-motivated.
