nJob Responsibilities
nApply practical knowledge of electric/electronic theory to:
nLocate reasons for malfunction.
nEffectively repair root causes in all types of electric/electronically controlled manufacturing equipment (e.g., machine tools, integrated manufacturing quality control equipment, balance machines, welders, lasers, etc.).
nWork on new equipment after technical information is complete and procedures/maintenance norms are established.
nTest and replace faulty components such as:
nVacuum tubes, solid-state devices, relay logic components, motivators, feedback devices, transducers, etc.
nUse various test and measuring devices, including:
nTube testers, VOMs, VTVMs, digital meters, recorders, oscilloscopes, etc.
nAfter repairs:
nFunctionally test equipment (with operator assistance if required).
nPerform initial “check-out” to ensure proper operation.
nPerform all repairs, including:
nPlanned maintenance.
nRebuilding components and assemblies.
nLayout of electric panels.
nMakeup of electrical/electronic circuits for equipment testing purposes.
nTechnology controls.
nTouch-up of painted surfaces disturbed during repair.
nMaintain records and perform related duties.

nMinimum Experience
n2 years diagnosing trouble and performing complicated repair work on all types of electric and electronically controlled machine tools/manufacturing equipment.
nMust pass a written assessment.
nThis role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
