Job Title

Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic/PD13207A

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performs equipment evaluations, programming, installation, operation verification, calibrations, and training on highly technical electronic systems
  • Analysis of the entire physical system
  • Understanding the interaction of various electronic, mechanical and chemical components
  • Knowledge of temperature, humidity and airflow necessary to satisfy requirements of health care and other occupancies
  • Modification and setup of computer programs to automatically sense, control and alarm
  • Troubleshoot computer software, pneumatic, and electronic controllers
  • Maintains and repairs the medical air, oxygen and vacuum systems, including vacuum pumps, air compressors, etc. in accordance with applicable regulations and policies
  • Responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing and modifying complex air conditioning, heating and ventilating (HVAC) equipment and systems and refrigerant equipment
  • Operates, maintains and modifies a highly complex, computerized central environmental monitoring and control system to optimize efficiency and energy savings, while maintaining environmental functions, i.e., temperature, humidity and ventilation at proper levels for patient care and other facility operations
  • Lays out, plans and installs sheet metal and ductwork for a variety of air conditioning, heating and ventilating applications.

Work Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (schedule subject to change after training)

Physical Requirements: Frequently carries equipment that weighs up to 50 pounds. Hoists, holders, and pulleys are operated when removing units such as large compressors, condensers, and chillers. Makes repairs and installation on ladders, scaffolding, and platforms where the parts of systems worked on are frequently in hard-to reach places, therefore, frequent stretching, bending, kneeling for long periods of time.
