Working with minimal supervision, this role applies strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to assemble complex products and ensure high standards of quality and workmanship. The position may provide guidance to less-experienced assemblers and supports continuous improvement in assembly processes.Job DescriptionThe Electronics Assembler III performs complex and non-routine electronics assembly work with direct impact on product quality, production efficiency, and on-time delivery.

The role operates independently within established manufacturing procedures, interprets technical documentation, and applies judgment to address assembly or quality issues. Success is demonstrated through consistent high-quality output, reduced defects or rework, and support of team performance.ResponsibilitiesIndependently assemble complex electronic components, subassemblies, and final products following work instructions, drawings, and bills of materialPerform advanced assembly tasks such as intricate PCB assembly, cable harnessing, soldering, and mechanical-electrical integrationAdapt to non-routine assembly requirements or variations while maintaining quality and efficiencyUse hand tools, soldering equipment, fixtures, and specialized assembly tools proficientlyPerform detailed visual inspections and basic functional or in-process testingIdentify, troubleshoot, and correct assembly-related defects or issuesPerform rework and repair within established guidelines to ensure product conformanceProvide input on repeat defects or process issues to support corrective actionsFollow safety rules, ESD control practices, and manufacturing quality standardsMaintain clean, organized workstations in accordance with 5S or similar requirementsEnsure compliance with documented procedures and workmanship standardsCoordinate with leads, supervisors, quality, and engineering teams to address issues and meet production goalsCommunicate technical findings, risks, or improvement opportunities effectivelyProvide guidance, mentoring, or on-the-job support to Electronics Assembler I and II employeesSupport training activities, new product introductions, or process changes as neededKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTypically requires 3–5+ years of electronics assembly or manufacturing experience, reflecting advanced assembly capabilityAdvanced working knowledge of electronics assembly processes and materialsStrong ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and basic schematicsHigh proficiency with soldering techniques, hand tools, and assembly equipmentDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly and workmanship issuesStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityEffective communication skills and ability to support or guide othersDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementAdditional Job DetailsEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
