In this role, you'll perform complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical assembly on avionics and flight navigation products, taking components from technical drawings and work instructions through final assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.What You'll DoAssemble and integrate electronic, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components for avionics productsWork from engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, specifications, and work instructionsPerform precision wiring, connector installation, soldering and rework, hardware installation, torquing, and mechanical assemblyInspect, test, and troubleshoot completed assembliesIdentify and resolve workmanship, electrical, mechanical, and configuration issuesMaintain accurate production, inspection, test, configuration, and traceability documentationSupport multiple products and processes while contributing to safety, quality, 5S, and continuous improvementShare your knowledge by supporting and training less-experienced assemblers as neededWhat You Bring2+ years of experience in electronic, electrical, electromechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing assemblyAbility to independently perform complex assembly with minimal supervisionExperience reading engineering drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, specifications, and work instructionsProficiency with precision hand tools, torque tools, gauges, fixtures, and manufacturing equipmentExperience with wiring, connector installation, soldering/rework, and mechanical assemblyAbility to perform basic functional testing and troubleshootingWorking knowledge of ESD, FOD, safety, quality, configuration control, and product traceability requirementsReady to build something that takes flight?Bring your skills, precision, and craftsmanship to Universal Avionics and help build the avionics technology pilots rely on every day.
