Electronic Assembler

Electronics TechnicianOur client is seeking an Electronics Technician who will be responsible for wiring and building electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies according to customer requirements.

The role involves reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material. Technicians will use a variety of small hand tools and perform tasks such as drilling, tapping, deburring, grinding, and sawing.ResponsibilitiesWire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirement.Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material.Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.Complete point-to-point wiring and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, and switches.Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through Engineering.Perform operations such as deburring, grinding, and sawing.Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.Work overtime as needed.Essential SkillsIdeally 2+ years' experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics, and electrical diagrams.Understanding of electrical currents.Basic hand tool experience.Ability to lift up to 30lbs and stand for extended periods of time.Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing basic English.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired.Leadership capability is desired for Tech 2 roles.Experience in electronics manufacturing, calibration, and test engineering.Why Work Here?Join a growing company that values long-term candidates and offers benefits such as reimbursement for safety shoes, health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401k plan once permanent.Work EnvironmentWork on the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm with a 6% differential. Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing environment, requiring safety equipment like eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Safety shoes are always required throughout the manufacturing plant. Certifications may be necessary based on function, including lock out/tag out and fork truck certification. Additional personal protective equipment is required for specific tasks.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
