Electronic & Automation Technician

Electronic Systems TechnicianResponsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electronic and automated systems within the organization. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports production efficiency, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives through automation technologies.Key Responsibilities:Install, test, and maintain electronic equipment and automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control panelsPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systemsTroubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and automation-related issues in a timely mannerRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsProgram, modify, and debug PLCs and other automation controlsSupport equipment upgrades, modifications, and new system installationsMonitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliabilityEnsure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulationsMaintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentationCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams on projects and problem-solvingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with robotic systems and industrial automation technologiesKnowledge of SCADA systems and HMI configurationFamiliarity with pneumatic and hydraulics systemsExperience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentWork Environment:Work in industrial or manufacturing environmentsMay require standing, lifting, and working with machineryAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for extended periodsManual dexterity and ability to work with tools and small componentsMentor Technical Group is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
