The ideal candidate will be an organized and highly motivated team player with strong initiative and communication skills, and who possesses the drive to deliver quality results on time in a dynamic, multi-discipline, intensive and highly productive small team environment.ResponsibilitiesOperate and calibrate electron beam inspection toolsDesign and execute test plans to characterize and improve system performanceDevelop standardized testing proceduresCollect large data sets and analyze data using scripting toolsSimulate electron optics columns and validate models using experimental dataDesign and run experiments in ultra-high vacuum systems to test system sub-componentsLead diagnosis and resolution of complex issues involving electron optics, imaging systems, vacuum systems, and electronicsCollaborate with software, systems, electrical, mechanical and manufacturing teamsPrepare comprehensive technical reports and share findings with internal collaboratorsDrive engineering and process improvement initiativesMust-Have Skills & ExperiencePhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related fieldSolid fundamentals in electron opticsHands-on experience operating and calibrating electron microscopy systemsProficiency with electron optics simulation software (eg.
