Assemblies may include cables, harnesses, and electromechanical sub-assemblies within large chassis modules.Follow work process instructions and specifications, both written and verbalResponsible for wiring, crimping, soldering, and cable assembly to connect electronic elements to mechanical systems along with developing cut and run listOperate a variety of equipment as needed to manufacturing processes and perform maintenance as specified on the preventive maintenance scheduleUnderstand, identify, and troubleshoot defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and classAssist DC Systems Engineers to develop assembly instructions and provide information to develop production toolingBuild complex assemblies of unique design per customer requirements and suggest changes for improvementsPerform verification and/or functional tests in accordance with assembly instructions and blueprintsWork as part of a progressive assembly line where you will be responsible for maintaining a steady flow to minimize bottlenecksRecommend changes in documentation to ensure high quality resultsAssist in training other employees and provide guidance in following proceduresRework and/or repair assemblies as requiredMaintain a neat and orderly workstationKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAdvanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print for complex assembliesAdvanced ability to use basic hand tools including, but not limited to, dial calipers, torque wrenches, testing devices, etc.Advanced ability to wire assemblies per assembly instructions, production drawings, schematics, ladder diagrams, etc.Able to build electronic assemblies and consoles to requirements including IPC-620Ability to use cut, strip, and crimp wiresStrong math computation, measurement skills, and mechanical aptitudeAdvanced ability to work in a high detail environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality resultsStrong ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardizationStrong ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and assignments to meet established goals and deadlinesStrong decision-making skills; utilizing sound judgement and thorough processesRequired Experience & EducationHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 5 years of relevant job experience (or demonstrated ability to independently perform essential functions of the job for internal candidates)Mechatronics, Applied Engineering Technology certificate, or similar preferredWhy You'll Love Working HereCompetitive pay and great benefits— including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time offBe part of a company that's growing, changing, and full of new opportunitiesA supportive, team-focused culture where your ideas matterMeaningful work that impacts industries making a difference in the worldIntervala utilizes and/or develops certain technologies which are subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or the U.S.
