Electromechanical Field Service TechnicianThe Electromechanical Field Service Technician will be responsible for wiring equipment, troubleshooting equipment, client start-up and assist with installation and maintenance of the electrical wiring, fixtures and systems. Domestic and International travel is expected to be approximately 30-60%, with an average on site project duration of less than a week.Primary Duties/ResponsibilitiesWiring equipment, checking/verifying electrical connections, and power upOrdering & managing electrical components for equipmentManaging & completing electrical engineering change orders before equipment ship dateCoordinating with production to schedule wiring equipmentTo start-up equipment in the shop for checks (Quality & Safety) and have overall check-out responsibility with respect to equipment readiness, ensuring that materials are organizedCustomer start-up support and troubleshooting electrical controlsTraining on equipment, operator training, mechanical /electrical maintenance training, and troubleshooting trainingTo be technically proficient in machinery from an electrical and mechanical standpointTo proactively ensure that mechanical/electrical skill level is sufficient to start-up and troubleshoot equipment with limited support from engineeringTo maintain and grow relationships with customers and conduct yourself in a professional mannerTo be available for travel to customer's site on a moment's noticeSecondary Duties/ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and be point of contact for contractors on internal electrical related projectsInstalls and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildingsInstalls conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cablesEnsures piping complies with electrical codesInstalls circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to themTests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operationInspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are neededReplaces conduit and wiring as neededReplaces circuit breakers as neededPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical layouts & printsExtensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiringAbility to use hand tools and power toolsProficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Expense Reports, etc.)Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsWillingness & ability to travel domestically or internationally 30-60% of the yearStrong written and communication skillsAbility to work independentlyEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of Electromechanical Technology program preferredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to see color to discern color-coded wiringProlonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffoldingMust be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduitsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a timeEEO IS THE LAWEEO IS THE LAW (Spanish)
