Electromechanical AssemblerThis role involves assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of electromechanical and refrigeration assemblies in a clean, lean manufacturing environment. You will work with minimal supervision, using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hand tools to build and refine high-quality products that meet strict workmanship and performance standards.ResponsibilitiesAssemble, build, modify, and perform point-to-point wiring on a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration assemblies with minimal supervision.Troubleshoot, adjust, refurbish, and rework electromechanical units and refrigeration assemblies to meet functional and quality requirements.Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, and written and verbal instructions to complete assemblies accurately.Set up and perform operations such as wiring, electrostatic discharge (ESD) wiring and assembly, soldering, refrigeration charging, brazing, deburring, and tube bending.Perform functional test operations on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration units, including pressure leak testing, refrigeration leak testing, heat load testing, thermal capacity testing, and hi-pot testing.Perform adjustments, routine maintenance, and lubrication on assemblies and equipment as required.Maintain and properly use necessary hand tools, measurement devices, and test equipment to ensure accurate and efficient work.Work in different production cells as needed and perform other related duties as directed to support overall manufacturing operations.Maintain a clean and organized work area and consistently follow all safety rules and procedures.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to clarify requirements, report issues, and support continuous improvement.Essential SkillsAbility to read and write in English.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and drawings.Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.Strong mechanical assembly skills with the ability to position and interrelate numerous parts and mechanisms to high workmanship standards.Experience with point-to-point wiring and basic electrical assembly practices.Ability to use a drill press, hand tools, and related shop equipment safely and effectively.Capability to perform operations such as wiring, ESD wiring and assembly, soldering, refrigeration charging, brazing, deburring, and tube bending.Ability to perform functional testing, including pressure leak testing, refrigeration leak testing, heat load testing, thermal capacity testing, and hi-pot testing.Good communication skills to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.High school diploma preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsHVAC training or experience, particularly related to brazing and cooling systems, is highly desirable.Previous experience working with electromechanical and refrigeration assemblies.Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and working in small team cells.Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to working in multiple production cells as needed.Why Work Here?You will join a very stable, high-tech organization that offers a clean, modern manufacturing environment and the opportunity to grow from a temporary role into a permanent position. This is a first-shift position, typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The environment is high-tech and well-organized, with a focus on safety and quality. Team members use a variety of hand tools, measurement devices such as calipers and micrometers, drill presses, and specialized equipment for wiring, brazing, refrigeration charging, and functional testing. The dress code is casual, typically jeans and a company-provided shirt, reflecting a practical and comfortable production setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woburn, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
