Job Description
Position: Electrician
Department: Engineering
Normal Working Hours:
•Varied
Past Work Experience Requirements:
•Journeyman skill level to consist of accepted 4 year apprentice program with classroom time and 8000 worked hours or experience and technical skills equal to the apprenticeship from working in the trade for a number of years
•Industrial and commercial as well as conduit experience
Educational Requirements:
•High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Communication Skills Requirements:
•Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Technical Requirements:
•Valid West Virginia Driver's License
•Electrician's License
•Ability to read schematics and blueprints
Physical Requirements:
•Lifting up to 70 pounds regularly
•Walking
•Standing
•Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs continuously
•Ability to work in confined spaces
Work Conditions:
•Hot
•Cold
•Dirty
•Wet
•Long hours
•Confined spaces
•Working in high places and on scaffolding
Required Supervision:
•Ability to follow specific general instructions
•Independent decision making skills required
•Ability to work independently
Other Requirements:
