Job Title: Electrician Helper
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to learn true commercial and industrial electrical skills while supporting a large new construction project. You will assist experienced electricians with tasks such as conduit installation, cable tray work, and wire pulling in a commercial and industrial setting. The position begins with site access and orientation, followed by regular 4, 10s work week, Monday - Thursday.
Responsibilities
  • Support licensed electricians with commercial and industrial electrical installations on a new construction facility.
  • Assist with installing and routing conduit, cable tray, and related electrical raceways under supervision.
  • Help with pulling, organizing, and securing electrical wiring according to site standards and safety practices.
  • Follow all safety procedures on site, including proper use of fall protection when working at heights.
  • Use basic hand tools to perform tasks such as measuring, cutting, fastening, and assembling electrical components.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment at all times, including Type II hardhat with 4-point chinstrap, cut level 4 gloves, and ankle-high steel toe boots.
  • Participate in site orientation and ongoing safety meetings, and comply with OSHA and site-specific requirements.
  • Work effectively within assigned campus areas, including refinery, packaging, fire alarm systems, and other designated zones.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with material handling and jobsite cleanup as needed.
  • Arrive reliably for scheduled shifts (4x10s, Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and complete assigned tasks on time.
  • Communicate with foremen and electricians about progress, issues, and safety concerns on the jobsite.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to work safely at heights, including using harnesses and fall protection equipment.
  • Basic experience or familiarity with electrical work in commercial construction environments.
  • Understanding of conduit installation and cable tray work, or willingness to learn under supervision.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality for a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule (Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.).
  • Capability to use basic hand tools commonly used in electrical and construction work.
  • Comfort working in industrial and commercial facility areas such as refinery, packaging, and fire alarm systems.
  • Commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE on site.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 certification, or willingness to obtain OSHA 10.
  • Prior conduit, cable tray, and wire pulling experience in commercial or industrial settings is a plus.
  • Previous experience on commercial construction projects is beneficial.
  • Local candidates who demonstrate reliability and strong work ethic are welcome.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forest, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
