Electrical Testing TechnicianWe are looking for an experienced Testing Technician to perform electrical testing for design development, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on completed production cables and heater systems, and support manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate should have experience in with AC and DC testing, cable sample preparation with medium voltage terminations. This candidate should possess a strong commitment to safety, especially in a manufacturing setting, and a proactive approach to promoting safety culture through PPE use are essential.This position requires on-site presence.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on cables and heater systems.Perform routine and specialized electrical tests on mineral-insulated cable systems to evaluate performance and qualitySupport other production-related tasks as required.Assist with research and development efforts to enhance cable performance, applying technical knowledge to innovative projects.Manage and maintain the inventory of testing materials.Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulationsMaintain comprehensive records of test procedures, calibrations, and maintenance activities.Testing Equipment Experience (Preferred):Line frequency HiPot (up to 50kV)Very low frequency (VLF) HiPotDC Insulation TestingTan-Delta TestingPower Analysis MetersInductance and Capacitance MetersHigh Current InjectionTime Domain Reflectometry (TDR) Fault FindingData Acquisition and Logging EquipmentMinimum Qualifications: 5+ years of QA/QC experience, particularly with electrical systems and test equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.Solid understanding of electrical systems and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in MS Office for record-keeping and report generation.Practical experience with hand and power tools.Disclaimer: This job description is intended to summarize the type and level of work performed for this role and is not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, and/or requirements.
