We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Test Technician to join an established global engineering and manufacturing organization at its Syracuse, NY facility.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a strong background in electrical testing, industrial wiring, assembly, and troubleshooting. You'll play an important role in ensuring electrical equipment and custom-built assemblies meet the required performance, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of electrical assemblies and components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Assemble, wire, and test electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, relays, transformers, switches, and motor starters.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose faults and verify performance.
• Inspect wiring and components against engineering specifications and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Identify electrical faults, document quality issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure equipment meets manufacturing standards.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical testing, assembly, or troubleshooting experience .
• Strong ability to read and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, or similar electrical testing equipment.
• Understanding of electrical circuits, voltage, current, and industrial wiring practices.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment and identifying faults.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and manufacturing quality standards.

Desirable Experience

• Industrial control panels, power distribution equipment, or electrical enclosures.
• Explosion-proof electrical equipment or custom-built electrical assemblies.
• Familiarity with NEC, OSHA, and relevant electrical safety standards.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annualised compensation: $78,000–$81,000 , including the applicable second-shift differential at the upper end.
