Electrical TechnicianKing George, VA 22485; Dahlgren, VA 22448DescriptionSCCI is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team in support of a Weapon System Program. In this position you will provide direct support to rapid acquisition and tactical prototyping projects. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the engineering design teams, as well as with end-users and management throughout the design, integration and iterative test of prototypes and tactical systems.

This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.SCCI offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits, 401k with Company Match, time off consisting of 2 weeks of paid vacation, 48 hours of sick/personal leave, and 11 paid Holidays.ResponsibilitiesBuild, assemble, and test wire harnesses, CCAs, and electronic enclosuresPrepare and ship equipment for off-site test events and install test equipment during integration test eventsSupport engineers at test events CONUS/OCONUS, as neededAssist with design and documentation in support of test eventsExecute tests using test equipment such as Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Function Generators and Power SuppliesCollect, analyze, and document test data/results and provide analysis of results to Engineering and R&D team membersMaintain detailed and up to date test data in laboratory notebook and active test logsKeep inventory of available equipment and procure equipment and supplies for labs and engineeringAnalyze equipment failures and provide solutions and recommendations on areas of improvementQualificationsEssential Skills and Experience:Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security ClearanceHigh school diplomaExperience with electronic test equipment and testing protocolsExperience must include developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research, development, inspection, maintenance, assisting engineers, inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting dataExperience with hardware assembly, testing and repair to include soldering and cable repairExperience with shipboard testingAbility to travel (10-25%), with some travel duration up to 3 weeks in lengthAbility to do manual labor (carrying heavy equipment) and tolerate shipboard work environmentsProficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, logically sequenced, and grammatically correct documentsAttention to detail in project documentation for content, formatting, consistency, and grammarDemonstrated ability to work independently, multitask, and manage priorities in a dynamic environmentPreferred Skills and Experience:Five (5+) years of professional experience with DoD programsDemonstrated proficiency in test and evaluation of DoD equipmentFamiliarity with logistics supportActive Secret Security ClearanceSCCI is committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to meet the needs of Employees and their families.
