Electrical TechnicianWe are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to support bench-level testing and validation of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Zonal ECUs for advanced automotive electrical systems. Irvine, CA | Onsite $38-$42/hr on W2This role will work closely with hardware, software, and validation engineering teams to support testing, troubleshooting, and quality validation of vehicle electronic components and systems.ResponsibilitiesPerform electronics bench-level testing for BMS and Zonal ECUsSet up, configure, and maintain test benches and lab equipmentExecute functional and electrical validation tests for battery systems and vehicle controllersTroubleshoot hardware and communication issues using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimetersSupport ECU flashing, firmware validation, and configuration activitiesDevelop and execute test cases, log defects, and support issue resolutionAnalyze test results and document findings in validation reportsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve issues and improve product qualityEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and testing standardsRequired QualificationsExperience in ECU validation, electronics bench testing, or automotive electrical testingStrong troubleshooting and debugging skillsHands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other lab equipmentKnowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and EthernetAbility to read wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and layoutsExperience with test execution, validation processes, and defect trackingPreferred QualificationsExperience with BMS systems, EV architecture, or battery electronicsFamiliarity with HiL testing environmentsExperience using Vector tools such as CANoe or CANalyzerExposure to diagnostics and UDS communicationBasic scripting or automation experience using Python or CAPLKnowledge of PCB/board-level debugging and ECU hardware validationNice to HaveAutomotive industry experienceExposure to ISO 26262 or automotive quality processesExperience supporting EV or high-voltage systemsIf you are interested in working on advanced automotive electrical systems and EV technologies, we'd love to connect with you.
