Electrical Technician IIIInCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Technician III to support the service needs of its customers. The technician will work at the local branch InCharge Office, reporting to the Service Manager. Key aspects of the work include running conduit, wiring, installation, service, commissioning and regularly scheduled maintenance for electrical infrastructure, EV charging devices, solar and battery devices.
The role requires significant regional travel with a focus on ensuring a timely and customer-centered turnkey delivery experience. Key objectives include maintaining safety standards and timely completion of high-quality field installation work, EVCS Commissioning and field support.Electric/Infrastructure DutiesIntermediate understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local regulations.Performing accurate calculations for circuits, panels, and service loadsPanel Work: Installing breakers, labeling circuits, and understanding load balancing greater than 600 ampsInstallation of emergency drivers, contactors, time clocks and troubleshoot EMS systemsPerform infield installation of civil and electrical infrastructure including running conduit and wire, trenching and associated civil work, and other in field activitiesWiring buildings and electrical systems (commercial, industrial), installing lighting, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and panels, setting up electrical equipment, transformers, and generatorsSupport multi-person work assignments and EPC-related field activities through hands-on assistance with installation and maintenance tasksTroubleshooting electrical issues, repairing or replacing faulty wiring, fixtures, or equipment, performing outline inspections and preventive maintenanceRetrofitting older systems to meet current standards, upgrading panels or service capacity, installing energy-efficient systems (LED lighting)Assist in the coordination of third-party vendors for installationsSpecialty Equipment Maintenance and ServicePerform preventative maintenance by inspecting, testing, and maintaining EV charging systems as well as electrical infrastructure to ensure performance and uptimeInstallation, Commissioning, service and support for all EV Charging systems, AC and DC for which the technician is certifiedPerform bolt-downs and infrastructure-related field work to support site installations and upgradesBasic understanding in civil and construction workInstallation, Commissioning, service and support for Solar and battery systems and infrastructure for which the technician is certifiedRepair maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical charging infrastructure using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics to basic electrical toolsMeasure charging infrastructure performance using appropriate tools and techniquesWorkflow, Documentation and TrainingCreate and maintain comprehensive project, Work Order and Job documentation in Procore, Salesforce and other documentation systemsFollow all safety standards, site requirements, and company proceduresParticipate in training programs to build technical competency and advance within the technician career pathCollaborate with team members and supervisors to complete work efficiently and effectivelyShadow and assist with lower tier technicians to share knowledge, troubleshooting techniques, electrical safety and workflows and specialty equipment as well as best practices in customer service deliveryRepresent the company at client locations with the highest standards of professional conductAttend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiencyPerform other related duties as assignedYour Experience and Capabilities3-6 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settingsPermit and code compliance knowledgeOSHA 10 and/or 30 Card required or ability to obtain in 120 days of hireAssociate's degree or higher in an applicable technical field is desirableASE or other applicable certifications are desirableCommercial Driver's license or ability to obtain is highly desirableECAP certification (internal requirement) or ability to obtain within 120 days of hireAdaptable to the changing dynamics of start-up business strategyExcellent client-facing and internal communication skillsDetail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision (completing assigned work accurately and in a timely manner)Proficiency with Procore, or equivalent software a plusAbility to Travel 50% - 75%US Hourly Range$35 - $43 USDWhat We OfferFull-time employees enjoy competitive compensation and benefits package including 401(k) matching contribution, health, dental, and vision, paid jury duty, paid holidays, generous vacation and paid sick leave, opportunities for advancement, office meals and snacks, team building events and activities throughout the year.Equal Opportunity EmployerEmployment at InCharge Energy is based solely upon individual merit and qualifications directly related to professional competence.
