Electrical Technician – HVACLocation: Davenport, Iowa (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time The Electrical Technician – HVAC will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and leadership for HVAC and electrical systems within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting both planned and unplanned maintenance activities across production systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical and tactical support for equipment breakdowns and outages in production centersMaintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems including chillers, compressors, and air conditioning unitsSupport specialized systems such as: Direct Fire Melt FurnacesAllen Bradley PLCsRS Logix systemsAC/DC drivesAssist engineering teams with commissioning, testing, and upgrades of equipmentLead root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsDevelop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance proceduresTrain and mentor technicians and supervisors to improve technical capabilitiesManage HVAC spare parts inventory and vendor coordinationEnsure compliance with EPA Section 608 refrigerant regulationsSupport preventive and predictive maintenance programsCreate and manage maintenance schedules and material planningEnsure adherence to safety standards and EHS policiesRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (mandatory)Minimum 5+ years of HVAC experience in industrial/manufacturing environmentsHands-on experience with: Scroll, screw, and centrifugal compressorsAir conditioning systems (up to 25 tons)Water-cooled chillers (up to 200 tons)EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (Section 608)Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systemsExperience with: Brazing copper/brassManifold gaugesVacuum systems and refrigerant chargingSuperheat and subcooling calculationsProficiency in Microsoft Office toolsPreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsHVAC apprenticeship or Mechanical degreeExperience with large systems (100+ ton AC / 500+ ton chillers)Knowledge of HVAC control systems: Johnson Controls MetasysLiebert SystemsTrane Tracer SummitUnderstanding of process control and instrumentationAbility to read electrical & mechanical schematicsCooling load calculation experiencePrior team leadership or mentoring experienceWork ConditionsPrimarily Monday–Friday scheduleFlexibility required for off-shift support based on business needsOnsite role in a manufacturing plant environment
