Industrial Control Panel FabricatorFabricates, wires, and tests industrial assemblies, components, and panels in compliance with UL standards while conforming to NQA-1 requirements. Provides input and insight to technical manager and project managers on level of effort related to the production of PSC control panels.Essential Job Functions:Responsible for assembling, fabricating, and wiring industrial control panelsRead and interpret engineering drawingsProvides feedback on manufacturability back to engineering, including drawing redlinesFabricate, wire, and test electrical assemblies, components, and panels in accordance with UL 508A, including modifying enclosures (drilling, punching, tapping, bending, etc.), mounting components, and performing precise, labeled wiring according to drawingsVerify wiring continuity and point-to-point wiring in accordance with engineering drawingsDocument electrical assembly, component, and panel configurations, modifications and test resultsCoordinate manufacturing and testing with other departmentsCommunicate with technical/project manager and directly report any and all issues in descriptive manner (start NC/NCR process when applicable)Work with procurement and facilities to receive components and equipmentEnsure proper care of all partsFabricate or modify equipment to meet drawing requirementsSetup and conduct tests in accordance with engineering deliverablesExecutes test procedures, records test results, and provides document recommendationsOperates electrical test equipmentAssist in maintaining UL shop certification processes, including documentation, audit preparation, and interaction with UL representatives or inspectorsPrepare completed panels for inspection, packaging, and shipmentAll other duties as requiredEssential Job Requirements:Creative, analytical, detail-oriented, and ability to work on teamsProficient with hand tools, power tools, and wire crimping/stripping machinesProficient in reading electrical assemblies, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layoutsStrong communication and administrative skillsStrong organizational skillsStay current on all trainingMaintains safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulationsRegularly required to stand, sit, walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, reach or carryOccasionally required climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlRegularly required to talk and hear; read, and identify numbersRegularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.Qualifications and Education:High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in electronics or equivalent preferredTwo plus years in electrical control panel assembly or industrial wiring preferredExperience with UL 508A is preferredTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
