Technician PositionOnSite Partners, LLC is seeking a motivated Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of energy systems. This role works under the supervision of a Foreman and will assist with renewable, distributed generation technologies, and transmission projects including wind turbines, reciprocating engines, solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays, substations, fuel cells, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other emerging technologies.Work will involve exposure to multiple voltage classes, ranging from low-voltage control systems to medium- and high-voltage equipment. Strict adherence to electrical safety standards and safe work practices is required.This position is ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career in industrial electrical and renewable energy systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with installation of electrical equipment and energy systems.Work on systems across varying AC and DC voltage classes, including:Low voltage (control wiring, 12V–600V)Medium voltage distribution systemsHigh voltage equipment (under supervision and qualification)Work on AC and DC systemsPull wire, install conduit, cable tray, grounding, and bonding systemsTerminate conductors for power, control, and instrumentation circuitsSupport system commissioning and startup activitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on energized and de-energized systems (as qualified)Troubleshoot electrical systems under supervisionRead and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, and schematicsUse testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers (megger), and torque toolsFollow company safety policies including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and arc-flash proceduresMaintain tools, materials, and clean work areasTravel to project sites as required (<25% travel expected)System Operator on-call dutiesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDEnrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferredBasic knowledge of electrical theory and safe work practicesUnderstanding of voltage classifications and electrical hazards preferredValid driver's licenseAbility to pass background check and drug screeningPreferred QualificationsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationMSHA Part 46 certificationExperience in industrial, utility-scale, or renewable energy environmentsBasic knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70EExperience working around medium- or high-voltage equipmentExperience operating lifts or working at heightsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 30 poundsWork at heights (wind turbines, elevated platforms)Work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditionsClimb ladders and vertical access systemsAbility to climb ladders, stand, kneel, bend, and work in various physical positions for extended periods
