(Elliot).Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.Job DescriptionAs an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be required to review all types of electrical work in commercial, industrial and healthcare environments and document it for arc flash studies.
As part of the day-to-day responsibilities, you will be completing the following:Traveling to facilities outside of the local area with overnight staysIdentifying electrical components, deficiencies and documentation of existing conditionsCommunicate with customers, facility personnel, utility providers and representing Davis H ElliotOpen and inspect transformers, motor control centers, switchboards, panels, control panels, and other electrical components safelyReading blueprints, drawings, schematics, and other reference materialCapable of training and developing other team membersAble to work independently with minimal supervisionOperate tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety proceduresVersatile to work in commercial, industrial, and healthcare environments understanding PPE requirements and following as requiredFamiliarity and understanding of NFPA 70E requirementsQualificationsKentucky electrical license is recommended but not requiredUnderstanding of electrical circuits and codesComputer skills and ability to quickly learn and adapt to various software platforms5+ Years of experience recommendedValid driver's licenseOwn your own hand toolsProficiency with NEC and local codesMust be able to pass criminal background check and drug screeningBenefits/CultureToday, we are listed among Engineering News-Records Top 150 Specialty Contracting firms.
