Security Clearance Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Active U.S. DoD security clearance (Security clearance eligibility may be considered on a case-by-case basis.)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum fifteen (15) years experience with operations and maintenance of electrical systems aboard a warship or military auxiliary. Must be full versed in ungrounded, 450 volt, 3-phase, alternating current (AC) equipment and distribution systems. Must be familiar with ungrounded, 4160 volt,3-phase, AC equipment and distribution systems.
- Direct operational and maintenance experience, within the last five years, with electrical equipment and distribution systems currently in use by the Navy.
- Must have direct experience with standard formal electrical troubleshooting procedures and practices.
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of electrical safety procedural and material requirements per current Navy guidance.
Physical Expectations
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required.
- Maneuvering around tight spaces in a confined environment.
- Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
