Applicants requiring sponsorship will not be considered.Position SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support electrical systems for high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
This role focuses on power distribution, control panel design, system integration, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of advanced automation systems in a high-volume production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and support electrical systems for high-speed automated assembly equipmentDevelop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagramsSupport installation, commissioning, and validation of new and existing equipmentTroubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime and improve system reliabilitySupport electrical integration of automated material handling systems including robotics, AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), and conveyor systemsEnable efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of totes and pallets through system connectivity and controlsWork with controls engineers to ensure seamless communication between equipment and automation platformsSupport electrical integration and operation of high-speed vision systems for part inspection and quality validationAssist in system troubleshooting and performance optimization of inspection technologiesEnsure reliable data capture and signal integration between vision systems and controls platformsLead and support process improvements using: Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), RCA (Root Cause Analysis)Analyze electrical system performance data to drive improvements in uptime, safety, and efficiencyParticipate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actionsWork closely with Mechanical, Controls, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teamsPartner with equipment OEMs, system integrators, and suppliers for electrical system development and supportProvide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operations personnelRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field8 years minimum experience with industrial electrical systems, control panels, and troubleshootingAbility to read and develop electrical schematics and wiring diagramsKnowledge of industrial automation environments and equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting high-speed automation environments (300+ parts per minute)Medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferredExperience with: Robotics and automated material handling systems (AMR, AGV)High-speed vision systems and inspection equipmentFamiliarity with PLC systems and industrial communication protocolsProficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologiesKnowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance (NFPA, NEC, etc.)Key CompetenciesStrong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsContinuous improvement and data-driven mindsetAbility to perform in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environmentsHands-on and detail-oriented approachStrong collaboration and communication skillsWork EnvironmentCombination of office and manufacturing floor exposureHands-on interaction with electrical systems and automation equipmentOccasional travel for equipment installation, supplier visits, or system validationReporting StructureReports to: Engineering ManagerWorks closely with: Mechanical, Controls, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teamsBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
