We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our growing team in Wilson, North Carolina.Superintendents report to a Supervisor or the person designated by the Supervisor and are responsible for the management of assigned jobs and/or work orders to ensure they are being performed in accordance with existing company policies and procedures. They assist in the achievement of their division's aims, goals and objectives while operating within company guidelines. Work consists of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial and residential electrical construction industry.Responsibilities include planning new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, providing access for future maintenance, and avoiding unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and national and local codes. Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that work is installed as required. Observe functions of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Repair faulty equipment or systems.Personnel responsibilities include recommending or initiating personnel actions, analyzing and resolving work problems, assisting workers in solving work problems, training new workers, interpreting company policies to workers, interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigning duties. Monitor the work being performed and direct the crew. Monitor and control the assignment of foremen to projects. Complete required paperwork, requisition, and inspect materials. May be required to do a re-estimate. Schedule the work according to the pace of the job and other trades. Monitor and control the Company's established policies concerning the Company's Substance Abuse Program, vehicle usage, Hazardous Communication Program, and Quality Assurance Program.Specific position requirements include current state driver's license if required by job conditions; applicable federal, state, and local licenses as required by job conditions or by the company. High School Graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent Watson training.

Required or necessary experience and/or training to assure all aspects of position are performed efficiently and productively while operating in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow. Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities. Job requires employee to have required personal tools with him at all times. Work from all types of ladders and carry/relocate up to 12' step ladder unassisted. Perform work at various heights, up to 90' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas. Work in restricted areas. Wear personal protective equipment as required in Safety Handbook. Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required, night shifts; work out of town if needed.Skills include planning, directing, and coordinating an entire activity or the activities of others. Evaluating information and analyzing problems logically to develop solutions. Expressing ideas clearly to others. Working with figures quickly and easily. Dealing with people in actual job duties beyond giving and receiving instructions. Working independently. Understanding the meanings and relationships of words and using language effectively. Working with numbers accurately to review budgets, materials, and time schedules.

Making decisions based on personal judgments. Performing a variety of duties which may change often. Dealing with people in actual job duties and having agreeable working relationships. Seeing details and recognizing errors in written material, numbers, charts, or tables. Communicating effectively. Comprehending and practicing safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook. Operating company vehicles with manual and automatic transmission. Positively identifying colors of wires. Comprehending reading and drawing prints and schematics of same. Bending conduit by hand with hand benders. Must have the ability to use required power tools. Operating equipment, trenchers, lift trucks, etc. in a safe manner. Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment. Operating two handed tools and equipment as required.

Reading and interpreting maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blue prints and written instructions. Operating and working from mechanical personnel lifts. Working energized circuits and equipment as outlined in Safety Policy. Supervising assigned job site employees to complete project.Physical function includes hearing and seeing well, either naturally or with correction. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over head. Lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Constantly move on feet. Climb ladders. Complete overhead work for full day assignments. Make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder, or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use. Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.This description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
