Electrical SuperintendentThe Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role involves managing field crews, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. The Superintendent must be adept at troubleshooting complex electrical issues and providing technical guidance to the team.Duties/Responsibilities:Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settingsEnsure that projects meet established safety and quality standards within the allocated budget and timelinePlan, coordinate, and supervise multiple work crews and all assigned employees on those teamsCoordinate work with other disciplines on the job to ensure that all work is handled as efficiently as possibleCreate daily reports, track progress, submit timesheets, and complete other administrative duties as required to accurately track performance and progressInspect and verify work in progress and ensure that all employees and subcontractors are working productively and safelyInterpret drawings accurately and ensure that all wiring is installed properlyEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulationsManage field crews and coordinate with project managersOther duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipmentExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressureProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with relevant electrical codes and safety regulationsProficiency with relevant project management software and toolsAbility to work in various environmental conditionsCommitment to safety and compliance with regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook)Education/Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical field services or a similar roleOSHA 30-hour certification requiredProven track record of managing large-scale projects successfullyStrong leadership and team management skillsIn-depth knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance protocols, and safety standardsExperience in project management and implementation of electrical systemsProficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and softwareStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressureTravel Requirements:Anticipated 100% travel to project sites nationwideAbility to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events.Physical Requirements:Ability to wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to stand and walk for long periods of timeBend, kneel, and crouch for extended periodsAbility to perform repetitive movementsAbility to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areasAbility to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 poundsAdequate vision to perform all required tasksWork on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftopsComfortable with heights and able to climb and descend safelyStrong sense of balance and spatial awarenessParticipate in respiratory fit testing and use as required About Stellar: Stellar offers a comprehensive package which includes:Competitive pay based on experienceRemote & hybrid work options for many positionsPaid Time Off – accrue 15 days (120 hours) within first year of servicePaid holidaysMedical, dental, and vision insurance optionsTax-advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA)Company-paid life and disability insurance401(k) – company match with immediate vestingStellar, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is a fully integrated firm focusing on design, construction, architecture, engineering, and mechanical services worldwide for over 30 years.
