Job Summary

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project, directing craft activities, scheduling work and coordinating subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project policies, schedules and budgets.

Major Responsibilities

  • Leadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision up to 25 craft)
  • Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned
  • Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft
  • Determines workforce requirements
  • Coordinates established area operational plansMonitors tool and equipment usage on the site
  • Prepares field material requisitions for tools and consumables
  • Ensures the most current design documents are used and any changes approved before implementation
  • Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance is in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets
  • Works with construction field engineers, foremen, and craft professionals to interpret engineering and vendor documents
  • Coordinates engineering solutions with subcontractors and crew

Education and Experience Requirements

Requires a minimum of 12-14 years of relevant work experience or a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in LNG, oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction along the U.S Gulf Coast is preferred
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written; computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability; ability to develop a 3‑week look‑ahead schedule for work operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams

Additional Information

Work includes field inspections and physical activities such as extensive walking, climbing ladders or scaffolding, working on elevated and uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk onto and off the project site. Must be able to use appropriate standard issued PPE. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include night or split shifts.
