Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
You will be supervising multiple crews of electricians.This position is a working supervisor, and you will also be working as a job leader and/or Field Service Technician when assigned by the Field Service Manager or Scheduler
LEADERSHIP
- Lead by example in all that you do, demonstrate and by guided by Vector’s Core Principles.
- Provide work direction to effectively execute customer jobs according to scope and budget; ensure electricians have tools and equipment needed to be successful
- Use appropriate discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
SAFETY
- Conduct weekly review of safety training completion of your assigned electricians, ensure they are current on required training, and ensure they understand and implement EHS policies and procedures
- Ensure they properly use JHA, AHA, Lifted Conductor, Energized Work Permits.
- Role Model and mentor electricians on Human Performance principles and tools.
TECHNICAL AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT
- Perform technical skills assessments of electricians, log their proficiency, maintain their skills matrix quarterly, develop career paths and individual training plans, and ensure they are getting exposed to new learning opportunities and on-job training.
- Ensure data and time sheets are current, accurate and timely, that they understand all SOP's and use them properly, and that accurate customer data is reported and accurate reports are completed on-time.
- Assist and guide electricians in studying for and passing certification exams.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Ensure your team demonstrates, provides and teaches exceptional customer service
- Tech and mentor electricians on how to effectively run jobs.
COMMUNICATION
- Deliver key messages to electricians in an appropriate and timely manner, escalated questions on business issues that can't be resolved locally.
- Check in with direct reports regularly and be available to them when needed.
- Communicate regularly with other Field Service Supervisors and Project Management to ensure open two-way communication, meet with supervisory group at least monthly.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
- Provide regular and ongoing feedback to electricians, address performance concerns as they arise, and issue approved disciplinary action.
- Assist in conducting performance reviews annually. Provide appropriate recommendations for merit raises per policy.

- Be technically proficient to maintain solid knowledge and strong skills related to the work and people supervised.
- Be fiscally responsible to adhere to internal financial controls, manage spending and help ensure the company meets its financial goals.
- Set work objectives, schedule, and deadlines for on-site crews in coordination with project timelines and budget constraints.
- Support Project Manager in the creation of project documents
- Conduct and verify QA/QC checks and documents
- Receive and verify long lead time equipment
- Maintain accurate project drawing (as-builts)
- Keep permit approved drawings on site and available for inspectors.
- Verify inspections are scheduled for any rough in, service interruptions, and permit close-out.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement by actively seeking and implementing ways to improve processes for improved quality, safety and productivity.
- Act proactively accountable by accepting full responsibility for your actions and take needed action to address challenges and responsibilities.
- Have managerial courage to say what needs to be said at the right time to the right persons(s) in the right way.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Must have a valid electrical license for home jurisdiction
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
- Must be computer proficient using email, data entry, and basic Microsoft Office
- 2+ years of training, education and experience in the related work supervised.
- Current on safety training.
- Prior supervisory or management experience a plus but not required.
- Must have a satisfactory MVR report, Background Check and Drug Test results.
- Must be available for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and periodic weekends, holidays and evenings.
- Must be in good standing with Vector with a satisfactory performance record
- Must be willing to travel; minimum 50%.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Summary
