Backed by an experienced engineering team and deep expertise in the cooling technology space, OBR helps customers improve reliability, performance, and long-term system life.Job DescriptionThe OBR Electrical Superintendent supervises electrical work on construction and repair projects, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and in compliance with applicable codes, OBR quality standards, and customer specifications.This role provides leadership for field execution, ensuring projects meet contract requirements, budget expectations, and customer satisfaction goals.
The Electrical Superintendent collaborates closely with engineering, project management, purchasing, and construction teams to deliver successful project outcomes.Position may require extensive travel depending on job locations.Roles/Tasks Of The PositionSafety & ComplianceFollow and enforce all safety procedures; stop work if unsafe conditions existConduct safety orientations and ensure compliance with OSHA and OBR standardsLeadership & SupervisionSupervise, mentor, and develop Journeymen, Apprentices, and crew membersManage crew assignments and workforce productivityActively monitor the apprenticeship program ensuring attendance and progress with courseworkProject ExecutionSupervise installation, wiring, and commissioning activitiesInterpret drawings and specifications to plan work sequencing, staffing, and timelinesInspect work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes (NEC and local)Communication & CoordinationServe as primary point of contact for clients on electrical project mattersCoordinate with engineering, project management, and subcontractorsLead pre-construction and project coordination meetingsMaterials & BudgetManage material receipt, tracking, and inventoryForecast material needs and coordinate procurementManage project budgets to support profitabilityReporting & CloseoutMaintain accurate daily reports and time recordsComplete project closeout documentation and ensure client approvalTravel to job sites required.Other duties as assigned.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma, or equivalent8+ years in electrical construction, industrial or commercial electrical work.Electrical Superintendent or construction management experience preferred.OSHA 10 AND OSHA 30 Certifications; NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety) preferred.Has or is in the process of obtaining Journeyman or Master Electrical license.Certification in CPR and First AidValid Driver's LicenseTWIC cardKnowledge of Windows-based applicationsKnowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experienceRigging, forklift, and man-lift certificationExperience managing large crews and work scopesMaintain active status in DISA.Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol testMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesScore of a 2 or less in a DISA background screenWork Environment & Physical DemandsWork is performed in outdoor and industrial environments, including exposure to weather, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
