AsanElectricalSuperintendent,youwillberesponsibleforoverseeingday-to-dayfieldoperations,coordinatingelectricalcrewsandsubcontractors,maintainingprojectschedules,enforcingsafetyandqualitystandards,andensuringworkiscompletedinaccordancewithprojectdrawings,specifications,theNEC,andapplicablecodes.Thispositionservesasakeylinkbetweenfieldpersonnel,ProjectManagement,clients,andothertrades.
KeyResponsibilities
- Providedailyfieldleadershipandsupervisionforelectricalconstructionprojectsfrommobilizationthroughprojectcompletion.
- Plan,organize,andcoordinateelectricalcrews,subcontractors,equipment,tools,andmaterialstomeetprojectschedules.
- Assignworktofieldpersonnelandmonitorproductivity,workmanship,andprogress.
- CoordinatedailyandweeklyworkactivitieswithProjectManagersandotherprojectleadership.
- Read,interpret,andenforceprojectdrawings,electricalschematics,specifications,shopdrawings,wiringdiagrams,andinstallationrequirements.
- EnsureelectricalinstallationscomplywiththeNationalElectricalCode(NEC),projectspecifications,applicablelocalcodes,andcompanystandards.
- Coordinateelectricalactivitieswithgeneralcontractors,owners,inspectors,vendors,subcontractors,andothertrades.
- Identifypotentialscheduleconflicts,materialshortages,designissues,andfieldconditionsandcommunicatethempromptlytoProjectManagement.
- Assistwithshort-termscheduling,manpowerplanning,materialplanning,andprojectlook-aheadschedules.
- Monitorprojectprogressandhelpensureestablishedmilestonesandcompletiondatesareachieved.
- Maintainaccuratefielddocumentation,includingdailyreports,manpowerinformation,progressupdates,materialneeds,andprojectissues.
- Reviewdrawingsandfieldconditionstoidentifypotentialchangesinscopeandcommunicatepotentialchange-orderworktotheProjectManagerbeforeproceedingwhenrequired.
- Participateinprojectmeetings,coordinationmeetings,inspections,andjobsitewalkthroughs.
- Overseeinstallation,testing,troubleshooting,andcompletionofelectricalsystems.
- Coordinateinspectionsandassistwithpunch-listcompletion,commissioning,andprojectcloseout.
- Maintainanorganized,professional,andproductivejobsite.
- EnforceBachnerElectroUSAsafetypoliciesandapplicableOSHArequirements.
- Conductorparticipateintoolboxtalks,pre-taskplanning,safetymeetings,andjobhazardassessments.
- EnsureemployeesandsubcontractorsutilizerequiredPPEandfollowsafeworkpractices.
- Leadbyexampleandpromoteacultureofsafety,accountability,quality,andteamwork.
- MentorForemen,Journeymen,Apprentices,andotherfieldpersonnelandassistwithemployeedevelopment.
- Performadditionaldutiesasrequiredtosupportsuccessfulprojectexecution.
Qualifications
- Minimum5yearsofelectricalconstructionexperience,withpreviousexperienceinaForeman,GeneralForeman,Superintendent,orsimilarfieldleadershippositionstronglypreferred.
- Industrialand/orlargecommercialelectricalconstructionexperiencepreferred.
- StrongknowledgeoftheNationalElectricalCode(NEC)andelectricalconstructionmethods.
- JourneymanorMasterElectricianlicensepreferredbutnotrequired,dependingonprojectandjurisdiction.
- Demonstratedexperiencesupervisingelectricalcrewsandcoordinatingmultipleworkactivities.
- Abilitytoreadandinterpretelectricaldrawings,specifications,one-linediagrams,schematics,andconstructiondocuments.
- Strongunderstandingofconduitsystems,feeders,branchcircuits,electricaldistribution,equipmentinstallation,grounding,andrelatedelectricalsystems.
- Experiencewithmanpowerplanning,scheduling,materialcoordination,andproductivitymanagement.
- Strongleadership,communication,organization,andproblem-solvingskills.
- Abilitytocommunicateprofessionallywithemployees,ProjectManagers,customers,inspectors,subcontractors,andothertrades.
- Strongattentiontodetailwiththeabilitytoidentifypotentialprojectrisksbeforetheyimpactscheduleorcost.
- MustadheretoOSHAsafetystandardsandcompanysafetypolicies.
- Validdriver'slicenseandacceptablemotorvehiclerecordrequired.
- Highschooldiplomaorequivalentrequired;electricalapprenticeshiporadditionaltechnicaleducationpreferred.
- Mustbeavailabletoworkflexiblehoursbasedonprojectrequirements,includingovertime,occasionalweekends,holidays,andovernighttravelwhennecessary.
- Mustsuccessfullypassabackgroundcheck,motorvehiclerecordcheck,anddrugscreen.
- AbilitytowearrequiredPPEandcomplywithallproject-specificsafetyrequirements.
