Electrical Superintendent
Location: Austin, TX
Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Superintendent to lead and supervise electrical installations on commercial and industrial construction projects. The superintendent will be responsible for on-site coordination, quality assurance, safety compliance, and schedule management to ensure successful delivery of power systems and electrical work from ground-up construction through turnover.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate electrical project schedules, milestones, and stakeholders.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, project requirements, and safety standards.
- Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders; resolve field issues.
- Manage material procurement, deliveries, and inventory.
- Conduct quality inspections and corrective actions.
- Train and mentor electricians, foremen, and junior staff.
- Coordinate power shutdowns and temporary power needs.
- Maintain daily reports, progress tracking, and closeout documentation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience, including 3+ years in a superintendent or senior leadership role.
- Proven success leading electrical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, power distribution, switchgear, transformers, and grounding.
- Expertise in NEC, electrical codes, and industry standards.
- Experience with commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and AutoCAD plans.
- Background as an electrician, foreman, or project engineer preferred.
