Job Summary

The Superintendent leads project planning, scheduling, and construction coordination for large-scale facilities such as data centers, hospitals, government facilities, and airports. The role involves directing teams, ensuring safety and quality, managing logistics, and maintaining project budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an ethical and motivated work environment.
  • Lead and motivate teams and team members.
  • Deliver a safe, high-quality project on time and within budget.
  • Develop estimates and integrated project plans with the project team.
  • Understand contract, scope, specifications, drawings, and project plans.
  • Manage site logistics in collaboration with the Logistics Service Center.
  • Control procurements and materials against the bill of material with the Procurement Service Center.
  • Collaborate with senior management, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff and clients.
  • Plan, organize, and direct daily activities per the project plan.
  • Dispatch workers to construction sites and monitor daily progress.
  • Supervise teams and delegate responsibilities to foremen and technicians.
  • Inspect projects to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other contractors.
  • Produce quality, safe installations supported by Safety and Quality Service Centers.
  • Monitor work against the schedule and adjust as needed.
  • Assist the project team in maintaining cash flow and profitability.
  • Mentor technicians for promotion.
  • Conduct performance appraisals with foremen and electricians.

Qualifications

Job Working Conditions and Environment

The position is physically demanding, requires outdoor work in all weather conditions, and may involve heights, confined spaces, and restricted areas such as switchgear rooms, manholes, and crawl spaces. O.S.H.A.-approved ladders and stairs are used. Flexible hours, overtime, weekends, and night shifts may be required. The incumbent must maintain a professional image while interacting with customers.

Years Of Experience

At least ten (10) years of experience in the electrical industry, including two years as a foreman.

Minimum Education and Certifications

  • High School / GED with 10+ years of experience.
  • Master electrician's license (preferred).
  • Advanced training in one career discipline or entry-level requirements in two.

Software Tools

  • Estimating – Accubid Anywhere and Bluebeam.
  • Modeling – Revit.
  • Production Tracking – Infralink.
  • Scheduling – Primavera P6.

Abilities

  • Extended use of computer screens and sitting periods.
  • Reach and finger dexterity for operating equipment and tools.
  • Effective listening and verbal communication.
  • Reading and writing comprehension.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems.
  • Understand and respond to speech.

Pay Range

USD $104,240.00 – USD $156,360.00 per year.
