Role Description The Electrical Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting the design, analysis, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing electrical drawings and specifications, assisting with system design and load calculations, and providing technical guidance on power distribution, protection, and control. The Electrical Specialist will collaborate with field teams and project managers to resolve electrical issues, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, and optimize system performance. Additional responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, participating in project planning, and contributing to continuous improvement of electrical processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electricity principles and electrical equipment operation, installation, and maintenance.
• Experience in electrical design, including layouts, schematics, and load calculations for various types of facilities.
• Background in electrical engineering, with the ability to analyze systems, interpret technical documents, and apply relevant codes and standards.
• Understanding of power generation systems and power distribution, including safety, efficiency, and reliability considerations.
• Relevant technical degree or certification in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and analysis tools (e.g., CAD software, electrical modeling or calculation tools).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting technical findings.
• Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and regulations (such as NEC or local equivalents) is highly beneficial.
