Electrical Quantity SurveyorAs an Electrical Quantity Surveyor I, the primary responsibility is to accurately calculate Cost Value Reconciliation in our specialized construction areas for continuous economic appraisal of our customers' projects. The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, identify all relevant components, and understand installation and specifications are essential skills for this role. The position requires above-average attention to detail and a strong commitment to completing tasks on time.

A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detailed and specialized work is the primary focus, and the role is generally task-oriented, requiring a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.BenefitsRobust 401 (k) program with safe harbor and profit share (no match required)Excellent health, dental, and vision insurancePTO8 Paid holidaysCollaborative and supportive cultureResponsibilitiesPrepare takeoff quantity from construction drawingsCoordinate the review of draft tender documentation to ensure all systems and components of the tenders are includedKnowledge in initial review of projects, conditions of contract, contract documents, specifications, and design drawingsPreparation of tender documentation queries to consultants or clients to confirm and collect any missing dataAttend technical meetings and weekly progress meetings as requiredPreparation of Cost Estimation for MEP Works (Electrical), including pricing, rate buildup for materials, labor, etc.Invite the Quotation from Subcontractor/Supplier, Negotiation and Comparison; ability to prepare pre-contract and tender activityMaintain and regularly update the approved Subcontractor/Supplier databaseDevelop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on tender drawings and specifications, ensuring inclusion of all worksCorrespond with Consultants/Authorities regarding specifications, technical requirements, and BOQ differences to tender requirements, and raise queries for clarificationCoordinate with planning, procurement, finance, and administration cell for necessary documents required for the submissionPerform risk assessments, value management, and cost control measuresUndertake cost analysis for repair, replacement, and maintenance worksPrepare cost analysis on quotation to be submitted for bidsInterpret electrical drawings and specifications to identify all relevant components and ensure accurate inclusion in project planning and costingConduct quantity takeoffs and evaluate cost proposalsReview and measure executed works against project specificationsDevelop and coordinate detailed shop drawings and coordination drawingsDemonstrate strong written and verbal communicationPhysical demands include long hours sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbingJob requires intermediate computer proficiency, advanced critical thinking skills, and excellent oral and written communication skillsOther duties, activities, and responsibilities may vary and change as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Estimating, or other relevant fields preferred2 years of relevant construction industry work experience requiredElectrical Journeyman License preferredProficiency in MS Office requiredKnowledge of AutoCAD and/or Estimating/Quantity Surveying software preferredAbility to recognize contractual obligations of both the company and its subcontractors
