Electrical QA Inspector - Power Generation

Verto People is recruiting an Electrical QA Inspector to support site quality assurance on a power generation project.

You'll inspect electrical installations, check test documentation and work with construction teams to resolve defects before systems are covered, energized or handed over.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect installation of switchgear, transformers, busduct and associated equipment.
• Check cable routing, segregation and terminations against drawings and specifications.
• Verify grounding and bonding installations before burial.
• Review insulation resistance results, factory test reports and site testing records.
• Witness required inspection hold points and document findings.
• Raise nonconformance reports and follow corrective actions through to closure.

Requirements

• At least seven years of electrical inspection experience within power generation.
• Practical experience with medium-voltage equipment installations.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70 and NETA testing standards.
• Confidence reviewing technical documents and maintaining accurate inspection records.
• A relevant technical qualification or equivalent field experience.

Previous owner-side inspection experience and familiarity with digital construction and quality reporting tools would be advantageous.
