This dual-role position requires strong technical knowledge, financial oversight, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Pre-ConstructionReview drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed electrical estimatesPerform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and subcontractor pricingSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotesIdentify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategiesPrepare and present bid proposals and scope clarificationsParticipate in bid reviews and project handoff meetingsProject ManagementManage multiple electrical projects from award through completionDevelop project schedules, budgets, and manpower plansCoordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and field teamsMonitor project progress, costs, and productivityEnsure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policiesManage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentationLead project meetings and provide regular status updatesOversee procurement of materials and equipmentFinancial & Operational OversightTrack job costs, forecasting, and profitabilityManage billing, cash flow, and project financial reportingAnalyze variances between estimated and actual costsEnsure timely project closeout, including punch lists and final documentationRequired Skills & Qualifications5+ years of experience in electrical estimating and/or project managementStrong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and NEC codesExperience with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, or similar)Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to read and interpret blueprints and specificationsStrong communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsProven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
