Job description
Electrical Design (35%)
* Perform sketches or mark-up existing drawings as required to communicate design intent.
* Perform field work, inspecting plant conditions, verifying existing plant conditions, Routing tray, conduit or cable layout new equipment for most efficient use of space and resources
* Preliminary design for installation motors, instruments and controls
* Perform engineering calculations as required
* Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible
* Check design work for accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements
* Design loop sheets, elementaries, system architecture, and other wiring diagrams
* Basic breaker coordination
* Detailed power panel schedules
* Power plans
* Grounding system design and grounding plans
* Lighting system design and lighting plans
* Electrical room layouts
* Electrical equipment specifications
* Industrial cable sizing, voltage drop calculations and general cable list development
Project Management (50%) / Business Development (15%)
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients
* Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.
* Communicate scope needs to designers or other engineers
* Obtain quotes for engineering, equipment, material, and services
* Write client's scope document
* Develop bid packages, lead bid meetings and evaluate bids
* Write material requests and contract requisitions
* Manage procurement and construction activities
* Coordinate project safety, timing, and other issues
* Lead checkout and startup activities
* Control documents generated during the course of the project.
* Issue documents to client for permanent storage.
* Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.
* Review project scopes for inclusion of reliability expectations as defined by client.
* When an opportunity occurs, work with the client to determine the scope.
Required
* Engineering Degree
* Motor Controls Design

* CAD Proficiency
* Experience with 480V and 2300V/4160V single lines,starter elementariesand480V VFDs
