Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an Electrical Project Manager (P.E.) to provide electrical engineering expertise and project leadership across a variety of MEP projects. This role will lead electrical design and analysis, coordinate multidisciplinary project efforts, manage scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, and serve as a primary technical point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical engineering analysis, calculations, and system design
Develop electrical plans, specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates
Collect and interpret project data to support engineering decisions
Evaluate design alternatives and recommend appropriate engineering solutions
Conduct field observations and construction administration activities
Maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and national codes
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering design and analysis tools
Manage scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and project deliverables
Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines
Provide project-level technical direction to designers and engineers
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders
Support project QA/QC processes
Assist with proposals, estimating, project pursuits, and business development
Maintain and strengthen client relationships
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6+ years of engineering experience
Master's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience may also qualify
Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Electrical engineering and MEP project experience
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
Strong technical and project coordination capabilities
Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, designers, engineers, clients, and project stakeholders
Strong attention to detail
Ability to provide project-level leadership and technical guidance
Strongly Preferred:
8 10 years engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree
7 9+ years engineering experience with a Master's degree
PMP certification
Master's degree in Engineering
Leadership experience
Electrical system commissioning experience or familiarity
