Solar Gain is seeking a driven Electrical Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects. If you enjoy being in the field, solving real-world challenges, and working alongside high-performing teams—this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
As a key member of our Operations team, you'll partner closely with the Electrical Construction Manager and field teams to keep projects running smoothly from pre-construction through commissioning.
* Support planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution of solar projects
* Manage material orders, inventory, and equipment readiness
* Coordinate submittals, change orders, and project documentation
* Conduct site visits to monitor safety, progress, and quality
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and local codes
* Assist with commissioning, reporting, and project closeout
* Collaborate with internal teams and interface with customers as needed
This is a safety-sensitive role involving rooftop work, exposure to weather conditions, and proximity to energized electrical systems. Comprehensive training is provided, and strict safety protocols are always followed.

* Projects delivered safely, on time, and within scope
* Accurate documentation and reporting
* Strong collaboration across teams
* High-quality, code-compliant installations
* Positive, professional interactions with clients and crews
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Journeyman Electrician certification
* 2+ years in a similar role (solar industry experience preferred)
* Strong understanding of NEC, UBC, and electrical systems
* Project management and organizational skills
* Proficiency with computers and technical tools
* OSHA-10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
* Mix of field and office work
* Travel required (weekly) across Arizona and California
* Work at heights (rooftops up to 30+ feet)
